About US

Our Purpose

We strive to delight and enrich the musical lives of our members and the South Shore listening public. Performing a varied array of programs to the highest artistic standards, we are dedicated to fostering and supporting our community through music

Our Performances

The Unicorn Singers typically perform three major concerts over the course of the musical year: a gala performance in the fall, a Christmas, and a spring concert. In addition, many of our members contribute to a mid-winter Broadway Review, performed in conjunction with members of the Broad Cove Chorale.

Our Community Service and Engagement

As engaged citizens who care about the welfare of their fellow community members, we are pleased to use our musical talents to benefit local social service organizations. The proceeds from our Christmas and mid-winter concerts are donated to Wellspring Multi-Service Center, Inc in Hull, and Horizons for Homeless Children, in Boston, respectively. Over the years, the Unicorn Singers have also performed for a variety of community events. We continue to welcome the opportunity to enhance our engagement with the South Shore Community by participating in such community events.

Our History

The Unicorn Singers was founded by Margo Euler in 1978 as a companion mixed chorus to the Broad Cove Chorale. Named for our inaugural performance musical work, Menotti's The Unicorn, The Gorgon, and the Manticore, we have performed in a wide variety of locations around the South Shore and Boston for over 40 years, often jointly with the Broad Cove Chorale. Margo Euler retired from her role as Director of the Unicorn Singers in the spring of 2022 and continues to lead the Broad Cove Chorale. The two groups continue to perform together on occasion, and are evolving over time, reflecting the creative energies, musical talents, and volunteer/community service commitments of our members.
